Planning Philosophy

When people think of a Financial Advisor they tend to think of someone that manages either an investment portfolio, retirement assets or focuses primarily on wealth management. While that is a core part of my role as a that only encompasses only one piece of the puzzle. As they say in sports, offense wins games, but defense wins championships. That’s the same approach we take with helping my clients reach their financial goals by integrating both risk management solutions and investment planning.

I accomplish this by first taking the time to thoroughly understand our clients goals and objectives through an in-depth fact finding process since each client has their own goals and unique set of challenges. My team and I will help develop a detailed financial road map or financial analysis using our proprietary software. These financial plans are offered complementary for each client or respective client without any obligations. Then, we present innovative insurance, savings and investments strategies to help our clients reach their respective goals. Most of the time our recommendations consists of helping the clients thouroughly understand their group benefits and making sure they are maximizing all their available options. If appropriate we will then assist in filling in any gaps with other supplemental insurance or investment strategies that are propriatary to our firm.

Some common concerns and questions that we help are clients address are:
  • What happens to my financial goals if I get sick or hurt and can't work in the same capacity or receive an income?
  • If I pass away prematurely, will my family and loved ones still be financial secure?
  • What’s the difference between term, permanent and universal life insurance? What is the most appropriate for my situation?
  • If I have a long term care situation, who will take care of me and how will I cover that unexpected expense without being a burden to my loved ones or depleting all my retirement assets?
  • How much do I need to save to be able to purchase a home, fund my children’s education or retire with dignity? What’s the most efficient and effective way to do that?
  • How can I efficiently pay down my student loans or other debt obligations, while still make sure I am saving and investing enough money to reach my other long term financial goals?
  • How can I make sure I am maximizing all my available options to help mitigate some of my tax liability not only today, but also in retirement?
  • How do I know if I am invested properly in my retirement accounts or other investment accounts to reach my financial goals?
  • Where can I get more yield today on my savings than what is being offered through my bank?
  • If I have an old retirement account should I roll it over? What are the pros and cons?
  • How can I make sure I can leave a legacy behind to my loved ones?
  • What is estate planning? Do I need a will or trust? What other planning tools should I consider as part of my plan?
  • What are some things I should be doing today to make sure I am properly prepared to pass on my estate and other illiquid assets (business or real estate) to my intended loved ones?

If any of these questions keep you up at night, let's schedule a time to speak!
